Play dough Recipe

This recipe is enough for a classroom or to share between 3-4 kids.

In a  big pot add;
2.5 cups of water (optional-add food colouring)
1 and a ¼ cups of salt
1 and a ½ tablespoons of Cream of Tartar
5 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 and ½ cups of flour

Mix on low-medium heat on the stove until the water has evaporated and the dough has all clumped together. Stir really well at the beginning to break apart all the flour clumps.
Optional Additions:
-add a few drops of an essential oil such as lavender
-instead of water use the same amount of brewed tea such as apple spice or lemon

IMPORTANT: Don't put it in a covered container while it is still warm or it well end up too sticky!
